Lighting is one of the most cost effective way to make your wedding and reception look great, not only in the day but also for your photos and video.
There are many different options for lighting:
1. Up lighting involves placing small lights on the floor next to the walls and shooting a beam of light up the wall to create a color wash. When you are choosing your reception locations look along the bottom of the walls for electric outlets. The more outlets the better. It makes it much easier to install and takes less for labor cost and you have few cords cluttering things up. The color choices are limitless. I will work with you and depending on the style we are creating we will choose your color and number of lights need to give you the best effect. Don’t be afraid to think color. If color is not your thing we can always wash the walls with amber light which gives you a candle light effect and we can always anchor the corners with a splash of color and the rest of the walls in amber if you want a nice balance. No matter your personal style each room is different and that is why you need someone with the experience we have to point you in the right direction with lighting.
2. Pin Spots are a small beam of light cast from above on the centerpieces of your tables. This is a great way to really show off your floral, however it can get quite expensive depending on the location. Some places it is not possible to rig from the ceiling so we have developed a system to create small free standing lights in the corners of the room that can create the same result it can be a little tricky again this is where our expertise comes into play.
3. Gobo’s are used to create an effect on the walls whether it be a monogram of your initials or a graphic pattern another great way to show off your style and taste.
4. Candlelight is always a sure winner. Most places allow real candles, always important to clarify with the location manager. If allowed tons of candles create a very romantic feel, have to make sure the place has great a/c if you are having a summer wedding. This type of light is also our photographers dream light to work with.
We have all of these options and more available to you. We will be glad to discuss your wedding lighting and linens wishes in detail when we get a chance to meet and talk about your wedding. Call us today!
